Coach Rudy Medina

Rudy is a former pro soccer player from El Salvador. Coach Medina holds a FYSA E License. Medina played varsity high school and college soccer in New York City where he was a member of the CUNY All Star Team four times and won the CUNY Conference with Hunter College in 1987. Coach Medina began his coaching career at the Head Coach of the City College Women’s Varsity Team in 2000. Medina also coached the Spence Middle School Varsity team before moving to southeast Florida in 2004. Since moving to Florida, Medina has coached with Palm Beach Soccer Academy(NOMADS), Palm Beach Premier FC, Futbol 4 Ever,  Suncoast High School JV women’s soccer team & coached the (U-10’s, U11’s,  U13’ & U14’s boys teams at Jupiter United Soccer Club.   

Coach Medina has helped develop young players that have gone on to play in Division I and II schools and at the professional level. Medina has worked with Jose Portoles, former Assistant Coach of Real Madrid, and Raul Escoin of FC Barcelona youth academy, while at Palm Beach Premier FC. In addition, coach Medina’s eldest daughter Alondra Medina-Barrera played for El Salvador U20 Youth National Soccer Team. 

Coach Rudy Medina’s 3 passions are: “His Family, Being a Social Worker (helping people in need) and Coaching Youth Soccer where he could have a direct positive impact on young soccer players and their families”.
